PREREQUISITES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: (Functions essential to attaining job objectives)
- BA / BS degree, preferably in business or inventory management
- Three to five years experience in inventory control / management
- Must be able to learn, retain and apply complex mathematical concepts in working with inventory.
- Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to communicate orally, in person and over the phone with customers, technicians and co-workers.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office products including Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, etc.
Preferred:
- APICS (CPIM) certification
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE: (Functions essential to job)
- Assign and maintain ACS records for “inventory” items
- Make recommendations and work with appropriate departments and individuals to establish and maintain a “stocking items” list
- Analyze sales and usage activity for all inventory items, in order to establish and update appropriate ROP and EOQ’s for stocking items.
- Maintain appropriate inventory at the detail and aggregate levels to ensure fill rate / service levels are attained, while also meeting inventory turnover goals.
- Generate stock replenishment requisitions / orders as necessary
- Work with Creative Services Schedulers to identify and establish qualified suppliers for assigned items
- Establish and coordinate daily cycle count activities for inventory items. Work with Shipping / Receiving and Mail Operations Supervisors to determine root causes and solutions for discrepant items
- Manage the Distribution department’s responsibilities for annual physical inventory process
- Review / enter adjustments, receipts and other inventory-related transactions in ACS
- Other functions that may be assigned.
- Create process to identify slow moving and obsolete items. Work with appropriate SBU to sell or otherwise dispose of. Prepare write off recommendations for items that can not be sold.
- Participate in new product introductions to ensure adequate and timely inventory to support the sales forecast.
