On a night long ago, shepherds were called from watching their flocks to visit the newborn Christ child. Since that blessed time, we have been awakened to the Christ Presence within us—the presence of peace, light, and life that blesses every living being. As we honor the Christ Presence in this holy season, we count our blessings and give thanks for the gifts of God within and around us.
Our souls are the cradle of Christ Love.
Our hearts are serene.
We let go of outer concerns as we move deeper into our time of prayer. In this place of stillness at the center of our beings, our yearning for peace is met as we fully perceive our oneness with God and with all creation.
We now turn to the Christ within. We open ourselves to the peace that flows from the depths of our souls and soothes every part of our being. With the serenity of a sleeping babe, our hearts rest in the awareness of infinite love.
Nothing can disturb the shelter of love in which we rest, for we are one with the presence of peace and cradled in stillness.
Our thoughts and emotions are calm and serene. Our souls are enveloped in peace. We are content, confident, and assured that all is in order.
Our hearts are serene as we pray…
The Christ Light of understanding shines
through our every word and action.
We look to the Christ Light of understanding for direction in every area of our lives. Like a shining star, the quiet radiance of this light guides us and blesses us in right ways.
We open our hearts to the Christ Light within and center ourselves in an awareness of divine wisdom. Understanding and intuition light our way and guide our steps.
Resting in the assurance of goodness and grace revealed by the Christ Light, we radiate peace as we move forward with confi-dence.
Guided by the Christ Light of understanding, we pray…
Through the healing power of the
Christ Presence, we are strong and whole.
Centered in an awareness of the Christ Presence, we allow our minds and bodies to relax in this moment. We breathe deeply and slowly, releasing any feeling of tension. Each breath clears the way for the healing energy, renewing power, and restoring life of the Christ within.
These quiet moments of meditation allow the regeneration of every cell of our bodies. A sense of comfort, peace, and wholeness fills our beings.
The healing power of the Christ Presence is renewing us at depth. We are whole and strong. In this awareness, we pray…
Our lives are blessed as we give
and
receive from the abundance of Spirit.
Filled with an awareness of the powerful Christ Presence within, we take time now to reflect on the gifts that fill our lives. We readily accept the abundance of Spirit, knowing that unlimited possibilities for good bless our lives.
Aware of the peace, love, and grace that fill and sustain us, we give thanks. We are fulfilled as we give and receive from the abundance of Spirit.
Knowing we are infinitely blessed, we pray…
In this season of love, we share our
gifts of peace with the world.
Centering ourselves in an awareness of divine love, we turn our thoughts to family, friends, and community. We enfold every person in thoughts of harmony and peace.
The gift of peace resonates within us as the assurance of unconditional love. We share this precious gift through acts of kindness and thoughtfulness. Our prayers and our actions encourage others, and as the gift of peace is passed from one to another, the world becomes a place of harmony and peace.…
Sheltered in the presence of peace, we pray…
The gifts of the season live within our hearts throughout the year. As we gently prepare to return our thoughts from this time of prayer and meditation to the present moment, let us remain aware of the Christ Presence that lives within us as peace, wisdom, wholeness, and abundance.
Knowing that this presence will continue to bless us throughout eternity, let us seal our time of prayer together by joining our hearts in praying our “Prayer for Protection”:
The light of God surrounds us;
The love of God enfolds us;
The power of God protects us;
The presence of God watches
over us.
Wherever we are, God is!
