Harness the Power of Imagination

When you use your imagination to envision how a situation might look in different scenarios, it’s called imagery. Just as an artist contemplates a blank canvas and sees what could be, you, too, can wipe your mind’s eye clear of any preconceived ideas and imagine what you’d like your life to be.

By doing so, you’re holding a positive image in your mind, creating a more unified bond between you and God.

In his book The Twelve Powers of Man, Charles Fillmore explains:

"The Spirit of Truth projects into the chamber of imagery pictures that, rightly understood, will be a sure guide for all people who believe in the omnipresence of Mind."

Mapping It All Out

If for some reason you can’t seem to cleanse your mind and wipe the slate clean, try treasure mapping. Take a blank piece of paper and begin adding cutouts of pictures, headlines, or drawings of things you’d like to see materialize in your life.

As you look at your treasure map each day, you’ll stimulate the power of imagination by focusing your energy. You’re also setting goals and pulling yourself closer to realizing these dreams.

What Do You Envision?

More prosperity? Fill your mind with prosperity thoughts. Give thanks in advance for God’s many blessings you’re already enjoying—and for those yet to come.

Better health? Remember a time when you felt perfect and whole. Imagine how it would feel to experience that same lightness of being again. Affirm positive thoughts daily with Daily Word affirmations. Envision your body aglow with the light of God.

A positive self-image? Accept yourself as acceptable to God. Picture this:
  • In you, God dwells.
  • Through you, God’s love flows.
  • Around you circles the powerful protection of God.
Let prayer and visualization guide you as you rediscover your perfect beauty.

So devote more time toward using your imagination. Dream the impossible dream and follow through on it. Unlimited possibilities await when you apply “limitless thinking” in your life.
